Philanthropy

Why Philanthropy?

Whether a Masonic organization is esoteric or not, philanthropy should be one of its noble goals. A Freemason must maintain high moral standards in his life, and practice philanthropy.
Historically, one of the main purposes of Freemasonry has always been philanthropy and social assistance. The Lodges helped their members in case of sickness or unemployment. In case of death, they helped widows to pay for the funerals and provided for the needs of orphans. At a time when social security didn’t exist, it would be a relief for the initiate to know about the possible support coming from his brothers.
Today a Masonic organization must continue to value human rights while helping the members in need and supporting important causes.

In coordination with the "Supreme Council of the Sacred Order of the Sophisians" we have chosen to support the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.
